He has promised he will never lie to her but has to in order to bring her out of her insanity.

A burned out scientist or busisness person with limetless funding snaps for some reason and sobers up two years later in the middle of a war between the cops, the gangs, his hate for humanity, and a woman who knows nothing of his past but will not leave him alone because he chained himself to her grandfather and then a tree to keep her
grandfather from being put in an institution.
And everyone dies screaming.
After forcing him to run for public office.

shows up working the sidewalk artwork racket
from town to town. until something happens to revive his creativity.

A woman drug addict gives birth to a child and has it taken away permantly because she has meth in her blood.
As the child ages it becomes evident that it will be smarter than any person (or some bizarre but good thing)and that it is a result of her blood chemestry and some drug that did not register on the test.
But the agency that has control of the child has lost track of the mother and has to find her in the drug culture if she is even still alive.
Or everyone dies screaming.

It has been listed by numerous agencies as a phenominon but can not explain it.
